Five Steps to Plain Language

We are super excited to have Jeff Greer, Associate Director of Content Strategy at MRM//McCann Detroit, MI out to speak at this month’s Dallas Content Strategy Meetup!

A little bit about Jeff…

Jeff leads content strategy for MRM//McCann’s work on General Motors’ Digital Owner Services. He’s also on the board of director of The Center for Plain Language (, a non-profit organization that helps governments and businesses create better content.

Before that, he led Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s digital content strategy from the launch of the Affordable Care Act through 2016.

He lives in Grosse Pointe Park, Mich. with his wife and two kids.

About the presentation…

Plain language is about using clear, simple content to communicate more effectively. Content strategy helps you organize your content and your organization. Individually, both plain language and content strategy are great. But they’re better, and more powerful, together.

We’ll talk about the plain language movement and what it means to content strategists. Then we’ll talk about the five steps to plain language, which you can use while you’re planning the work of your digital teams.

We will have FREE pizza & drinks available for all our guests and a brief presentation on the group mission & vision and the speaker will begin his presentation.

This event will be held in Deep Ellum. If you want immediate parking convenience close to the venue, we advise you use a service like Parking Panda or be sure to get there a little early so you can snag a spot close to the event venue.

Seating / Availability:

There will have very limited seating for this group, with only 25 seats available, so we advise you RSVP as soon as possible, it’s going to be first come first serve!
